Consider that the design of global electronic communications is tantamount to a world wide nervous system & its essential structure contextually formative to its future functioning, as the initial conditions to the big bang instrumental to subsequent possibilities.
Is mind / consciousness an emergent process, derived from the convergent movement of signal into subjectivity - and if this is a 'below' what's the analogy 'above'? 'A global layer of thought', from the Greek noos for ‘mind’, the Noosphere emerges from the biosphere, here, amongst the atmosphere, hydrosphere & geo/lithosphere…

Humanity can tell a better story - which is what would inevitably emerge from just a slightly better medium for thinking and communication. In fact it's already here (though perhaps in dire need of a rewrite).

13. Being conceptual and process oriented, ‘circuit’ because it is a mechanism like experiment or law. I’m making a point to highlight the mechanical-like functioning of my augmenting proposal because you may have a reflex assumption that to accomplish what I’m pointing to requires an additional breakthrough in something.
